Hand-dyed long-sleeve pullover applying "Hikizome," a traditional Japanese dyeing technique.

Dyeing is a popular trend these days, but there are two main points we focused on this time. The first is [reconstruction].
Typically, the orthodox method is to make a pure white product from bleached or P-fabric and dye the entire product.
Based on the concept of transforming existing materials into new forms, we sewed three different colors of already reaction-dyed fabrics and colored them using dyeing processes suitable for each fabric color.

The light color simply allows you to enjoy the beauty of Hikizome. The medium color is Hikizome combined with a technique called discharge dyeing. The black color expresses color by mixing dyes in a special formulation into a state where the color is not completely removed by discharge dyeing.
Please enjoy the three distinct finishes.

The second point is [making use of the characteristics of the production area]. Dyeing is now a processing method seen in various regions, but I personally have an attachment to it and have been working with a dyeing factory in Kyoto that excels at this technique. I hope this can be an opportunity for their technical capabilities to become more widely recognized.

The fabric is mini-pile, so you can wear it like a long-sleeved T-shirt for a long period throughout the year.

DESCRIPTION

A hand-dyed long-sleeve pullover applying Japan's traditional "Hikizome" dyeing technique.

While dyed garments are currently in vogue, we focused on two major points. The first is [reconstruction].
Generally, the most common method is to create a pure white product from bleached or P-bottom fabric and then dye the entire product.
However, based on our concept of transforming existing items into new forms, we stitched together three different colors of fabric that were already dyed with reactive dyes. Then, we colored each fabric according to a dyeing process suited to its original color.

The light colors are simply designed to allow you to enjoy the beauty of the Hikizome technique. The medium colors combine the Hikizome technique with a method called discharge dyeing. For the black, we mixed dyes with a special formula to express color on fabric where discharge dyeing alone couldn't fully remove the original color.
Please enjoy the unique finish of each of the three.

The second point is to [leverage regional characteristics]. While dyeing is now a processing method seen in various regions, we've utilized a technique specialized by a dyeing factory in Kyoto that I personally have a fondness for and have worked with. We hope this can be an opportunity to make their technical skill more widely recognized.

The fabric used is mini French terry, so you can wear it like a long-sleeve T-shirt for a long period throughout the year.

*As all items are handmade, individual differences will occur. Please also understand that dye splatters and color unevenness are characteristics of the product.
*When ironing the care label, do not use steam. Iron from the reverse side at a low temperature of 110°C or less to smooth it out.
