Hand-dyed long-sleeve pullover applying "Hikizome," a traditional Japanese dyeing technique.

Dyeing is a trend nowadays, but there are two main points we focused on. The first is [reconstruction].
Typically, the common method is to create a pure white product from bleached or P-state fabric and then dye the entire product.
Based on our concept of transforming existing items into new forms, we sewed three different colored fabrics that were already dyed with reactive dyes and colored them using dyeing processes suitable for each fabric color.

The light colors are simply for enjoying the beauty of Hikizome. The mid-tones combine Hikizome with a technique called discharge dyeing. The black colors are created by mixing dyes with a special formula into fabrics where discharge dyeing didn't completely remove the color.
Please enjoy the unique finishes of all three variations.

The second point is [utilizing the characteristics of the production area]. While dyeing is now a processing method seen in various regions, we hope that by using techniques mastered by a Kyoto dyeing factory that we have a personal attachment to and have worked with, we can help raise awareness of their technical prowess.

Since the fabric is made of mini French terry, you can wear it like a long-sleeve T-shirt for an extended period throughout the year.

Hand-dyed long-sleeve pullover using "Hiki-zome," a traditional Japanese dyeing technique.

Typically, the orthodox method is to create a pure white product using unbleached or P-bottom fabric and then dye the entire product.
Under the concept of adding changes to existing items to create new forms, we sewed three different colors of fabric that were already dyed with reactive dyes, and then colored them using a dyeing process suitable for each fabric color.

The light colors are designed to simply allow you to enjoy the beauty of hiki-zome. The mid-tones are made by adding hiki-zome to a technique called discharge dyeing. For the black, we expressed the color by mixing dyes with a special formula into a state where the color could not be completely removed even with discharge dyeing.
Please enjoy the three distinct finishes.

Dyeing is now a processing method seen in various regions, but we hope that by using the techniques that a dyeing factory in Kyoto, which I personally have a fondness for and have worked with, excels at, we can help bring their technical capabilities to the attention of the world, even if only a little.
